So, what I'm hearing is no one's ebay selling account is 100% secure, and this can be a cause if significant differences are seen in the 1099-K figures?

Thanks for your reply. I only bring-up the possiblility of an ebay error because I recall how a few years ago another huge online entity (PayPay) needed to issue corrected 1099-K forms to most of their users due to errors on their part.
