I actually had a USPS worker say if a parcel goes into the after hours drop "we don't have to scan that"...seriously. I'm not saying that there isn't a policy but recently I have had several packages not get scanned until 3,4,5 days after drop off.

My biggest issue is that the 2 Post Offices near my home and job have lines out the door pretty much all day long. It's a rarity when It takes less than 20-30 minutes just to even get one scan...
