No idea on this. Think I’ve had it about 20 years. Subject matter
seemed atypical for woodcut, I guess that’s what caught my eye. Never
have figured out even part of the signature.
This vase was posted on another forum and hasn't been ID'd. Im out of my
league on this one. I asked the OP for permission to post the pics here
because I felt confident it could be identified. Not a lot of info other
than that it's 7" tall. Any help...
It’s porcelain or pottery. Hold base to bright light and look at
interior. Porcelain is translucent, pottery/earthenware isn’t. Just a
guess at maker, check Schafer and Vater.
Recognized it immediately as the work of Chester Nicodemus. Melda beat
