Can no longer use eBay app because my ipad won’t update latest eBay version

Can no longer use eBay app because my ipad won’t update latest eBay version and my iPad is only 4 years old. Really disappointed. Is this happening to anyone else? Is this an eBay error or is my only choice to go on eBay through browser?TIA Kim
