We did get a corrected one from ebay with -0- on it, but we had to call
at least a dozen times and get passed around to several different
departments. It was a big waste of time and energy.
Ebay has acknowledged that the account was set up fraudulently and has
shut down that account. They still won't send a corrected 1099 which is
the law. There are many layers of negligence here.
My accountant and attorney expect it, yes. I own a business and send out
1099s every year. If something is incorrect, you have to send a
corrected one to the recipient and the IRS. It's the law.
The same thing happened to us and we don't sell on ebay. They won't send
a corrected 1099 so our accountant and attorney are trying to figure
this out. Their failure to comply is against the law. I see that this is
