Reading comprehension must be difficult for some folks. 1) It's been
stated multiple times in this thread that large corporations like eBay
do NOT transmit documentation to the IRS "early." They have until March
31st to do this, and as it is they bar...
At this point, if you're honestly that paranoid, then disregard anything
eBay says and go ahead and file what you were (if you were over IRS
income thresholds) supposed to whether you received a 1099 or not.
Outside of eBay making a public statement ...
Can confirm, I also just received this same email a couple minutes
ago...looks like I would have been right to let it ride even if eBay
never officially acknowledged it. But i'm glad they did and corrected
it!
