Identical issue here. 

I'm with the OP, not a fan of managed payment. I was optimistic when first notified of the change and Ebay did a great job of making me believe that it was beneficial to me and that it would lower my fees. Well, here I am paying more and getting less...

22 Years here as well. It's nearing time to exit stage left. Managed payments was the topping on the exit cake.
