What is considered a transaction to become top rated for the requirement of 100 transactions within the last 12 month? Is it just "sales" or "purchases" too? Thank you!

If a listing has handling time, forsay 3 days, and the item sells, if the seller marks it shipped immediately, does it negate the handling time that was included in the listing? Will Ebay system not recognize the 3 day handling time in this scenario?
