Why do I have to sign into PayPal for every purchase I make?

Why do I have to sign in to PayPal EVERY TIME I make a purchase - I can leave eBay logged in, I can log into eBay with my thumbprint I can log into PayPal with my thumbprint why can’t I pay with my thumbprint form within eBay
