If I delete app to shut down and reinstall Will I Lose my data as I’m in middle of bidding

Will I loose my data in app if I shut down and reinstall?

I’m bidding on eBay app. I cannot open my notifications or save to watch. I can’t figure out how to restart. Would I restart the phone or am I missing something?
