US customs looks at COO. Canada is simply relaying the information so
that the appropriate tariff can be collected either from the US
recipient or charged to the sender who adds that cost to the price of
the item.
Canada isn't charging you the tariff. The US government is. The tariffs
that have been placed BY the US are paid for by its citizens. Just FYI.
Also, it's not just items made in China, it's all the countries that
have been tariffed that are affecting...
