I would think that obvious safety defects, such as splices and exposed wires on an AC cord, should be called out by the seller. This is something that eBay should require to be disclosed.

ebay's web site has consistently become laden with errors over the past few months. Yet, they take no responsibility those known admitted errors. I have been a member of ebay for 25 years, in the last year or so they have consistently gone down hill.
