blatant. The idea of a preface or footnote might be better applied to
adult literature.
It does seem odd, but the adult items, and other books that include
racist or inappropriate material generally aren't aimed at kids. I
suspect if you posted porn in the kids books section, you'd likely be
removed fairly quickly.
They're not banning the books, they simply won't allow them to be sold
