Sounds like a shoddy way to do business. My wife had to take hers in to the guy the insurance company recommended to get an appraisal on all her jewelry

You bought it in 2016 AND had it insured and the insurance didnt want to do their own appraisal before insuring?Am I the only one puzzled by this?
