iPad OS app loses touch sensitivity on right side of screen when locked in landscape mode

Very often, when the iPad is locked in landscape mode, the app loses touch-sensitivity on the right side of the screen, maybe in the rightmost 1-2 inches. It is not related to an ipad physical problem, I am certain it is the app
