Is there a way to determine if a seller physically drops mail off to USPS?

My late deliveries include a 3-4 day gap between "label created" and " USPS awaiting item". Should I just contact the seller prior to bidding? Thanks.

I have a auction item with a fixed starting price, no reserve & make an offer option was available. A buyer made an offer that I want to accept. Before I could accept there a bids on the item. I can not respond to the offer/buyer. What do i do?
