Unpaid Item - closing a case, meant to cancel the order before it went to Automatic Unpaid Item case

Is there a way to cancel/close an unpaid item case? I meant to cancel the order before it went to the automatic unpaid item case. The winning buyer bid on the wrong size. I'm trying to close the case so I can cancel the order.
