So, the new eBay International Shipping is rolling out. Many of you have probably received the notice.
I read the terms and conditions and found the following:
Program Rules. You will comply with the following rules for any EIS Items that you sell through the Program:
I contacted the eBay Facebook group to confirm that this was correct. I was told that there is no minimum package size. LOL

Is this different than the current eBay international standard program?

Yes, this one is similar to the Global Shipping Program with protection for the sellers, but without the higher costs.

How is this different from eBay standard?

the EISD program has been around for about 2 years now
I am also wondering what ups.I do have not heard anything about a new program
there are two that ebay is involved with GSP and the EISD which gives you the ESUS number
I guess you could say ebay has three programs if you include the $20 max envelope thing for $1 for stamps and cards

Could you please give the link to the information about the *New* eBay International Shipping?
You highlighted the minimum package size information as being new, but that is already the case for the current eBay International Standard shipping. It may not be in the help page about EIS, but it is mentioned in the Terms and Conditions for the current eBay International Standard Shipping, which is linked to at the bottom of the help page about it:

The minimum package size requirement was added sometime between Apr 12 and Aug 1, 2021, according to the Wayback Machine.

So, is a package not covered by any protections if it does not meet the minimum size? That was my concern.

this is definitely better that the older EISD
there are many seller protections built in such as winning any MBG automatically for items not received
I especially like the return service
this is an older program with some very good updates to it
I think I will have to start selling international again
thank for posting this

So is this a new name for the Global Shipping Program that I'm already signed up for?
If not how is it any different?

@heckofagame, thanks for the links.
The T&C page says "Last Updated: August 26, 2022" but I'm not sure what was changed at that time. The minimum package size was already there in the requirements for something over a year.

No, the Global Shipping Program and eBay International Shipping are two different programs.
The main difference is with the first one, the buyers pay import charges upfront, and with the second one, buyers may have to pay duties or customs fees when the item is delivered, if their country charges them.

There was a mention that in the future, they would make it optional to pay the taxes up front.

It looks like they are inviting sellers to join the program over the the 12 months. Those that are already in the GSP will be automatically transferred to the new program. It’s not clear if that will be over the next t 12 months as well. Ultimately it sounds as if it will replace the gsp.
Sellers will be enrolled in phases over the next 12 months. You’ll be notified via email and Seller Hub when you’re eligible.
If you’re currently using the Global Shipping Program, you will be automatically enrolled and your listings will default to eBay International Shipping. If you ship with another international shipping service such as eBay International Standard Delivery, you will need to update your current listings to take advantage of eBay International Shipping benefits (Bulk listing update via Seller Hub or Single listing update via Seller Hub).
The fact that they are calling this such a similar name to eBay international standard is going to cause confusion imo.
