I have about nine buyers who did not leave a feedback. I even emailed them and politely reminded them to do so. I take pride in how I wrap the items I ship and I am very descriptive about what I am selling. So I do not understand if this is a regular problem. I leave my feedback immediately for them upon receipt of their funds and my shipping. I even tried delaying my feedback for a few to see if they responded first. I have had not complaints from any of these buyers. What's up??????

Hi-
I've also noticed lately that the Ebay community buyers are avoiding the same simple task for me and my sales. I've maintained a 100% positive rating and have resolved issues when needed. I think it's just a matter of the old school practice of consideration for others, gratitude, and follow up that's going out the window quickly. I always leave feedback for my customers and expect it in return. And judging by my customers' purchases I'd say they all know better about how reciprocal feedback works. I take clear pictures, point out flaws, if any and try and sell items for a reasonable price. Any more ideas out there other than stating the feedback issue into each description of what I'm selling prior to selling instead of sending reminders?? Thank you!

I agree with a lot of the comments on this post. I feel some individuals must be just inherently bad mannered and I find it very irritating. Like most folk I take great care when selling items. I recently sold a new pair of Clarks sandals ( impulse buy, still in box with labels & receipt). I packaged them carefully, wrapped box in perfumed tissue and enclosed a treat of 2 miniature boxed Jo Malone perfumes. I then drove to the post office on my day off from work rather than make the buyer wait until I was next out and about, posted the item 1st class recorded - Free postage & packing. Buyer was emailed to thank for their purchase less than an hour ago and tracking details given. Feedback left for buyer. In return - nada. Simple bad manners.
As others have stated perhaps ebay should advise that if feedback is not left after 1 month ( which should give time for any issues to be raised) 5* will automatically applied.

@pennsylvaniapickers And it's equally rude for buyers not to leave feedback.
I've sold 18 items in the last couple weeks and have had 4 buyers write feedback. So since we, as sellers, have nothing that eBay does which requires feedback or even generates an automatic positive feedback after say 90 days then the only recourse is to hold off on our feedback. You may not like it but the buyers obligation does not end at purchase.
They still need to recieve the item, inspect it, and either they are happy or not, then leave feedback or open a dispute. If they choose to end communication/leave no feedback there is zero incentive for sellers to do the same. A sellers rating does mean something otherwise why have it?

I agree with you, Heather699, that collecting $ is more important than collecting FB, but when PayPal is withholding your money because you do not have positive FB, then FB EQUALS MONEY.
I am a new seller and I'm working but I can't get paid by PP because my buyers are not giving any FB.

Understand that this is an issue for sellers so maybe ebay needs to be more informative, and sellers need to sort things out with ebay/paypal to assert their interests.
As a very infrequent ebay buyer since the things I have to get through ebay tend to be really expensive including shipping, the numerical value feedback is not going to make much difference for my standing, and I expect the same for the "part-time" sellers. It is a nice to have a high rating, but as long as the transaction history is not bad, 300 isn't very different from 3000, and I also take the account age into consideration.

It's frustrating, but they are not required to leavee feedback and I feel like most don't bother. I wrap my items in colored tissue paper, include a thank you note and a small gift for purchase; still only a few people leave a ny feedback.

I'm sure it must be to do with the increase in people using mobile devices.
Th feedback button is hard to find when I use a Windows Phone, looking for messages is even harder, I end up scrolling down to the bottom of the screen and clicking revert back to 'Classic Site'
