Does anyone know if it is an absolute must to be a member of Facebook to buy something? I'm guessing yes, but if there's a chance I'd go look at their stuff.

Doesn't that seem like a question that you'd ask on Facebook, not eBay?

OK, so I am evidently dumb, but why can you not ask questions on Facebook?

You have to sign up for an account in order to use their services. You don't have to "make friend, share photos, etc. " , but if you want to see what is going on and what is for sale, YES.

If you have found something on Facebook Market place that says it has eBay protection, it is a SCAM do not try and contact the seller. There is absolutely no reason you have to be a member of Facebook to buy an ebay item. I do not know about Market Place however, but I would imagine you would have to sign up with FB to use Marketplace.

This is an eBay message board. Facebook is a totally different ballgame. You have to have a facebook account to use it. There is no other way

Ebay does NOT require you to be a member of facebook to buy something.
they are 2 completely separate companies.

Didn't catch that ebay and facebook have different policies. Why would ebay policies have any information about Facebook policies?
