The World:
Once before during the crisis involving Apollo 13, the world was united briefly in working, hoping, and praying for the safe return of three American astronauts in their LEM lifeboat. The world today is like that tiny little LEM lifeboat with the three American astronauts.
I have respect for all the great religions which would improve the life of any human being. I also have respect for any government which would improve the life of any human being. Finally, I have respect for any human being who would chart their own path and try to live an upright life.
Many years ago, I read about a lady who lived in a house on a hill. There was a flood, and people congregated around her home. She opened up her pantry which contained home-canned goods and shared her food with many hungry people. At some point, a reporter asked her if she was religious. She responded, "People are my religion."
Worldwide there are people with good minds and generous spirits who can help when help is needed. It is a time once again for humanity to come together and deal with another crisis.
