Re: QUESTION

It’s a promoted listing fee. Paid when you sell an item that you promoted.

Re: QUESTION

It's a fee charged when your item sells through an advertised / sponsored placement. If you were charged that fee, then you chose to use the optional promoted listing service.

Re: QUESTION

When you list an item, there is an on/off slider near the end where you can choose whether or not you want to promote your item. Make sure it is OFF if you don't want this.

Re: QUESTION

When the new add policies are put into effect, I am just wondering how the add to appear at the top of search is really determined.

If thousands of sellers are using a priority add strategy, there is still only one that would appear at the top.

So, basically all the sellers who are further down the results are being charged and NOT appearing at the top.

Seems like that would be a huge waste of money for 99.9% of sellers paying for that placement.

It seems to be just another way to charge sellers more without admitting they are just taking more fees for nothing. Just my opinion.

Re: QUESTION

The listings that appear on top is the seller who is willing to pay more than everyone else.
Promoted anything is more of a gimmick for eBay to make more$$.
