As the holiday season has quickly approached us, you may notice a few minor changes to the way you list your items. Check out the updates we’ve made to improve your listing experience:
CATEGORY SPECIFICS
- When you change the category of a listing, we will only bring over the most relevant item specific (aspects) for the listing.
- For example, if you change a listing from Books to Antiquarian Books, only the relevant item specifics from the Books listing will be included in the new Antiquarian Books listing.
- When changing categories be sure to review the listing to ensure the listing accurately captures what you want the buyer to know — and adjust it if necessary.
SHIPPING
- We have placed the Free Shipping prompt on the main listing draft to make it easier for you to find and offer buyers free shipping.
LISTING PREVIEW
- We made updates to ensure when you preview your listing it accurately displays pricing, shipping, description, photos and other details.
PHOTOS & VIDEOS
- Sometimes an upload fails for a photo or video. If you get an error message we now show you the correct error message along with the steps they need to take to successfully upload the video.
“SELL ONE LIKE THIS”
- When using “Sell one like this” on an item that is on another eBay international site we will create the listing on your local site if the same category exists. If there is no corresponding category, you will be redirected to the original site to list the item.
SHIPPING SERVICES
- We’ve updated the listing flow to ensure shipping services are included in the appropriate scenarios, like when a seller is using “sell similar” or “sell like.”
PAGE JUMP
- We have fixed the page jump that occurred when clicking on the description after opening the item specifics dropdown.
TEMPLATE UPDATES
- We’ve updated the character limit for templates, and it is now the same as the limit on the main description field.
