is every churn I see a fake? I seem to have issues with most of them. I would really like to buy one, but they all seem suspicious to me. Am I the only who is having a difficult time finding an authentic churn? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have one for sale that has been in my family for about 100 years, so I know it is authentic. Unfortunately the fakers have devalued the market. To make matters worse, there are so-called “experts” who try knock down the prices by reference to books about these churns that sometimes promote misinformation, perhaps not intentionally, but the effect is the same. It scares away buyers.
