Marvelous & UNIQUE vintage beaded pouch purse with flowers

Hello Fellow Purse Lovers,  I picked this up earlier at an estate sale.  It is so very unique and interesting.  Can any of you tell me ANYTHING about it?  Basically its' age and do you think this is bakelite, plastic, acrylic?  The flowers appear to be made of some plastic material.  I would truly appreciate any help you can offer to solve my mystery.  THANKS IN ADVANCE!

I'm not sure your bag is terribly old.  (And shame about the damage.)   How long is the strap.  (That information is helpful for dating.)  And what does the inside look like?  (Ditto.)
