My grandfather was a Stamp Dealer, in the early 1900’s. He travelled around the world (by ship) for stamps, and was a well-known philatelist.
He put aside his most valuable stamps before he passed in 1960, and we have inherited literally thousands of stamps from around the world.
Are there any Price Guide Books that we could buy for world stamps of that time period?
thank you!

The biggest and most reputable is Scott's. When I collected they were about 4 volumes. Maybe more by now. My local library also had them as reference books (you could not check them out) so if the total price is more than you are willing to pay you might look there.
Bear in mind that the price Scott's shows is sort of like the "list price" on a new car. Nobody ever really pays that amount unless it is super rare. And if you go to sell them to a dealer you will get far less than that. But it will at least show you which ones are more valuable than others by comparison.

There are several online sites that give great details and pictures of stamps. You have to weed out the useless sites but once you find them they work great. Stamps are great money makers but don't expect to get book value and stamp collectors are very picky about grading.
