Re: Time Management and Organization

Schedule, Scheduling, and Schedules timetable; agenda; itinerary; plan The topic for the week...you guessed it...scheduling. I think the most important thing with scheduling is your commitment to follow your through. You can come up with the best and most productive schedule in the world but without the commitment to follow through you have done nothing. So, first things first, realize that doing things randomly usually results in lost time and more stress. Then make the commitment to plan your days and work your plan.:-x * Write it down in pencil. Don't keep your daily schedule in your head. As you complete a task check it off (that is my favorite part). Writing in pencil allows you to adjust your plans as needed without your plan becoming a big mess (trust me on this one...I speak from experience). * Put like with like. Schedule similar things together. This saves you time and energy. It also helps you focus. * Set aside a little time on Saturday or Sunday to plan for the following week. I usually write a big "to do" list, prioritize the list into High, Med., Low, and would love to get to if possible, then with my pencil and planner transfer those items over to the individual days I would like to get them done on. I work from high priority to low. Hopefully, by the end of the week (if I have stuck with my plans) I am left with some time for the library, bookstore, and Starbucks...Woohoo! --
