Some new members have emailed me asking how to reply to a post within the group threads, so I decided to post a "How To Reply To A Post Within Group Threads" thread with step-by-step instructions. Here goes:
Step #1: When reading posts within a thread that you want to respond back to, just scroll down to the bottom of the page and you will see an empty white box. Simply type your response/suggestion/opinion/tip within the box.
Step #2 Then choose one of the following options below the box in which you are typing. PreviewThis option lets you "see" what you have typed so you can proofread it prior to posting it. Post Message This option lets you post your reply so other members can see it. Cancel This option allows you to opt out and not post your reply if you change your mind.
Other convenient options to use when replying to posts within threads are the buttons directly above the white box that you type your reply into. I will give a brief explanation of those as well.
The first one is the Smiley Face Button. Clicking on that link allows you to choose different smileys to insert into your reply such as this 🙂 or this 😞 These are just a few examples. There are several to choose from.
The next one is the Bold Button. Clicking on that link allows you to make certain parts of or all of your reply appear bold. The next couple of buttons do the same as the bold. The Italics button allows you to make part of or all of your reply appear in italics. Next to it is the Underline Button. Here again, this option gives you the opportunity to have all or parts of your reply underlined. The next two buttons are rarely used ~ at least by me. I can’t speak for others. The first onepre allows you to enter a pre tag. The button beside that let’s you put an URL in your post. And last but not least is the ABC button. Clicking on this button allows you to do a spell check of your reply before posting it. I hope I have covered the basics of how to reply to a post within group threads in a easy to understand format.
