postage stamps issued in Cuba

Curious why you can buy postage stamps from Cuba from U.S. stamp companies like Kenmore and Mystic but you can't buy/sell them on ebay?  I've inherited a huge stamp collection that I just don't have time for, and there are about 800 Cuban stamps (mostly 1960's thru 2000's) in it.  Went to sell them on ebay and got a warning that it wasn't legal to  sell them, and if I attempted to, I could be kicked off ebay.

eBay doesn't want to try and filter out banned items (such as modern unused postage from Cuba) from allowed items (such as older used stamps), so they just filter on the word 'Cuba'.  Some sellers try to get around it by using terms like Greater Antilles, but if they get reported they can suffer the same fate as using the actual country name. Try selling those on HipStamp or Delcampe instead. (Although a few hundred mostly modern issues such as you describe won't have a huge value).

The value doesn't matter much, I just hate throwing them away!  I am at a point in my life where I must downsize.

Yes, it is a huge hassle, as eBay just does not bother differentiating - and not just Cuba but Persia/Iran as well, and you have to be careful with Korea not to get caught in the DPRK filter.  You could just list them as a Caribbean lot, or as the other posters say, Hip Stamp is a good forum for them.
