Which Image Program Do You Use?

I'm interested in what other stamp collectors use for image programs. I myself have found Microsoft Digital Image Pro 9 works great for: Easy to use with a scanner. Makes finding plate varieties easy. Easy to add arrows to stamp images. Easy to add t...

BRM cover anomaly

The BRM item below, marked “first class”, doesn’t add up. In January 1974 the BRM per-piece 1st class surface rate for 1 oz was 10¢, for airmail (extremely unlikely for a charity BRM) 13¢, neither of which divides equally into $10.48. This BRM transa...

Fiscal Cancel?

Is this item’s cancel fiscal? Seems unlikely anyone paid 5 1893 shillings to mail something then the stamp wasn't heavily obliterated. What does the “C” stand for in the CDS?

“Nebr.” overprint used on BRM

This is the first legitimate use I have ever seen of a “Nebr.” overprint stamp, and used to pay BRM no less! The 3¢ Lincoln, tied by a CRETE NEBR. cancel pays the 2¢ first class rate plus 1¢ BRM fee for a single item.

Auxiliary mark RE: using air mail stamps

Never seen this P.O. mark before… Apparently Blue Seal Linen Supply ran out of 10₵ stamps and decided instead to use some 11₵ airmail stamps on what was probably local billing. First class mail was 10₵ at the time, so they figured they had it covered...

Department of Homeland Security censor tape

First one I’ve ever seen! I didn’t think the USPS opened mail anymore. Maybe it was because this item was from the PRC. Anyone else seen one of these?
