I have a Holland American line postcard with a paquebot cancel. I would like to know what the ribbon cancel signifies. Was it used for the Holiday season or does it have some other meaning. The two initials within the ribbon are an "E" and "P".
Thanks for the help.

It celebrates the wedding of Princess Elizabeth, now Queen.

Looks like the date on your card is 26 November.
The letters are for Elizabeth and Philip.
