Good morning!
Carol - One of the gals at the party is just finishing chemo for breast cancer. She has been very fortunate and never had nausea and other than being tired, has done very well. On the other hand, Marilyn had surgery for colon cancer and they could not get it all. The oral chemo made her so sick and she looks awful so they have decided to let it go.
Roxie - Are you still looking in Nevada? I think I am going to be looking, at some point, to check out south of the Smokies, although I cannot deal with high humidity. I think I might like Arizona. It will still be a few years before I can do anything.
Sorry I have been MIA, but I have been recovering from the wonderful party last weekend! Ike, Alli, Gabe and my youngest daughter, Lisa (who will be 30 this year) were there, as well. What fun we had. Lynne Ellen has spent a fortune on props for the photo booth and everyone had so much fun with it. It was crazy. At some point, a friend pulled out and instrument we had not seen before. It was a digital, sort of like an autoharp but with the capabilities of a keyboard, with sound changes and you strum across a pad to play it. At one point, Dale was playing it and checking out the different sounds. He came across a church organ and thus began the Squirrels' Nest Gospel sing starting with 'Amazing Grace' with some wicked and not very tight harmonies. Now, there are people who would pay me NOT to sing, but we were having such a good time. Our hosts have 7 cats who weave their way through the party and also enjoy the company.
Alli had such a nice surpirse as Gwyn, brought her granddaughter, Gillian, who is Alli's BFF at the big festival. They had such a great time. Lynne Ellen also bought a LED hula hoop that the two of them played with for a long time in the dark outside. She will be getting one for Christmas but they are pricey. This one was $80 and they do go up to around $200. I checked them out online and they do have cheaper ones, but the reviews are terrible. I guess this is one of those items that you get what you pay for.
I have PT today and need to go as I missed Monday as I had enough PT over the weekend. A good family friend passed away yesterday and there will be a one-day viewing on Friday. Ike will go and take my car, as it is about 120 miles from here. I am not going and have PT. I have my choice of driving the plow truck (no thanks) or the big one-ton, which I have never driven and I do not have depth perception with being blind in one eye. I will try the big one, as it has full coverage!
Time to go do something.
Have a most beautiful day!

Hello Everyone,
Please do not think I am not grateful, I am more than just grateful. I have just assumed the Lord had a special reason for sparing me and I have not saw or found it?
I help people all the time I always have. I have given homeless people homes.. I have helped feed numerous families. I have given cars to people that needed them to get to work. I could go on a Roxie scroller with this but there is no need. What I have done was because These people needed help and I could help them.
My concerns is I thought maybe the Lord had spared me because of something very special for me to do!
Material things have never been important to me. I am happier just camping in the desert or mountains with nothing more than a bed roll and a few personal provisions.I have always remained simple and never extravagant.
When Billy Grahm Made the movie Road To Redemption at my ranch I had them give what they thought it was worth to people they knew needed it. They did send paid invitations to Hollywood for the opening of it for myself and my Mary but I just called and thanked them. I had been to Hollywood years earlier and saw all of it I wanted then.
My life has always been rewarding not because it always was or is but because I have beauty in my heart and nothing can change that. There has been times in my life when people that worked for me made more money than I did! But it was ok because I never needed a lot to be happy.
I wish when people looked me in the eye they could see my heart.

I am planing on going to Arizona again in two or three weeks. I have a lot of hand made Arrowheads and Bracelets I will distribute on several of the reservations to be sold to the tourists. I need to do it before it gets too hot down there.
While I am gone I will not have anyway to post.
