Bill and I visited a Pastor-friend's church today. I talked with the lady that plays the piano. She said something about Grand Junction, Colorado. Bill and I had a youth ministry there in the early 1970's. Come to find out she worked where I worked (at a secular company), in the same department, and I knew her. I had invited her to church back then and she came.
Of course, after all those years neither one of us looked the same.
What a blessing to see her serving Jesus in this church!

Hello Again Everyone,
It is late. I have to go to the hospital later today! I have been having problems lately. The good Lord has allowed me a lot of extra time so far I hope this is something that can be take care of and not the alternative.
Anyway I am having problems sleeping just wondering. I need to be there at 8am and will be there most of the day for tests etc. There is a posibility my other organs or some of them are quitting!
Just thought I would share and if something does happen I sure hope it happens in january or later not at Christmas that is a real concern.
Yove you All
Roy

We can trust a God who suffers with us:
One of God’s first words to describe himself in Exodus 34:6 is “compassionate.” That means “to suffer with.”
Isaiah 63:9 says, “In all their (Israel’s) distress he (God) too was distressed.”
When Lazarus died, recounted in John 11:35, Jesus wept with the mourners.
And Jesus says in Matthew 25:40, “Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.” He is so close to those who suffer that he says we relieve his pain when we relieve their pain. And sometimes we are “the least of these.”
How can God truly love us and not suffer with us? Love means identification with the beloved, to the extent of tender empathy.
The Biblical God is a purpose-driven God. He means to create a family who loves him. In order to fulfill that purpose, he gives us a choice to walk with him or walk away. That choice costs both us and him. And his purpose is worth the pain. Writing to the Romans, 8:18 Paul asserts “our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.”
God has healed and redeemed that pain. He has held my hand as we’ve walked together into a rich and satisfying life.
If we wrestle with him until he blesses us, know there is always more to learn, and believe he means to give us an abundant life, we can find the joy that the Lord desires for us.
Remember how he must have suffered when he gave his only son to die on a cross for our sins.
Thats Love

Keeping all prayer requests
Blessings continue. Melanie just called to tell me that the butcher shop we use is having their pork sale and country ribs, chops and steaks are all 99 cents per pound. As pork is no longer the fatty product of old, we really like it and use it in many ways. We are off for a drive to fill our freezers.
I have three racks of baby back ribs soaking in a brine solution and will be cooking them later today, picking up Alli after Girl Scouts and we all will have some great BBQd ribs at Melanie's place tonight.
