While at PT yesterday, Jerry, who is the head therapist and owner, was driving down the road when he came across what would have caused me a total breakdown. Someone hit and killed a nursing mother dog and two puppies. One fat, fuzzy little guy had not been hit and had to be terrorized to see his mom and siblings like this. Jerry, immediately got the dogs off the road and took the puppy and got a bottle and is bottle feeding it (but it can also eat soft solids, as well). It was the sweetest little thing and I just wanted to keep holding it. One lucky little guy, now named Elvis. Who could do something like this and then leave this poor little one there to freee and die along with the others? He will have to answer to a higher authority someday.....
Pellet stove is still working but have not received the new part yet. Hopefully, it will be here today or tomorrow.

Well, it is time to start preparations for my contributions to the large Thanksgiving dinner tomorrow at Melanie's. My youngest daughter, MIL, SIL and her three kids are also coming. They have a dog (some kind of beagle mix) that cannot go to Melanie's house. She was going to have to board the dog for several days which is expensive and I remember when I was young, we had to board our dog for a week or so and he was so traumatized that when we picked him up, he was in a catatonic state. I do not know how well this is going to work out, but I told her to get a cable line for him to go out on and bring his food and treats and he can come here.
I get everything ready for the sweet potatoes and dressing and then all I have to do tomorrow is pop them in the oven. I am also making homemade cranberry sauce and that has to go in the **bleep** tonight to set up. We have our dinner around 6pm as the guys hunt in the afternoon.
Ike's major Christmas present arrived this morning via FedEx. Glad to have that out of the way. Now I have to go and hide it.
Time to get moving!
