Adrian,
I try to care for all.
Debbie,
Sorry your world is so messed up for you. Maybe you should try to change it.

Carole,
How are you doing?
Roxie,
Hello.
Lynn,
I do believe Barbara would have passed if I had not went to see her. Since then her son has a son of his own and I believe that is/will help him through loosing his mother.

Many people think being meek is the same as being weak. Not so.
Here are some examples of meek people that all probably know of. George Washington, General and later President, Eisenhower, Abraham Lincoln, Ronald Reagan.
In the Biblical history: Enoch who walked with God and it was not because God took him (alive) into heaven, Abraham, Moses and of course, Jesus Himself. There are many others but you get the idea.
A meek leader is one who puts others before himself instead of seeking his or her own glory. It is the general who when he has a mission thinks of ways that will bring the least casualties. He is looking out for his men as well as his mission. As our Commander in Chief I think George Bush demonstrated this. He visited the troops often and he still does. They know he cares about them. Ask any veteran.
In the past all cities had walls. The strength of their defenses depended on their walls. The ancient city of Babylon had walls high enough and wide enough that 4 chariots of horsemen could race along the top, the city of Troy, more recently; castles with their walls and moats and even our own Alamo. The men held out until the walls were breeched. I’ve been there. It is in downtown San Antonio, Texas. The walls were wide enough to have rooms and tunnels inside them.
The book of Proverbs tells us that a person without self-control is like a city broken down and without walls.
MEEKNESS is strength under control.

funcollectibles -- Welcome! Delighted to have you. Come back and post often.
Roxie -- Thank you for your prayers for Norma. She is in denial, but her family is, of course, concerned since she lives alone and still drives.
Roy -- Seems like times are a-changing. Not all for the good, but God has promised to take care of His children. Interesting study of Daniel and Revelation (to mention only two).
Debbie -- My heart goes out to you. I you need a friend, I'm available. Jesus is my best friend and He has helped me through some deep waters.

The spreading of ashes?
I believe unless there was a request by the person you should ponder for a while. Just remember the places and the things they enjoyed best and spread a few there. Then keep the remaining ones in a small urn for yourself. As long as anyone is remembered they are never gone.
Love Ya

Serving Two Masters
In America it has came to this. The Lords word throught the bible says this can not last/be!
But if you follow his word/teachings you will have everlesting life
Luke 16:13 KJV No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.
Matthew 6:24 KJV No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.
Psalm 45:7 KJV Thou lovest righteousness, and hatest wickedness: therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.
Psalm 110:1 KJV (A Psalm of David.) The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool.
John 3:1-36 KJV There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews: The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him. Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born? Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and [of] the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit. Nicodemus answered and said unto him, How can these things be? Jesus answered and said unto him, Art thou a master of Israel, and knowest not these things? Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen; and ye receive not our witness. If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you [of] heavenly things? And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, [even] the Son of man which is in heaven. And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God. After these things came Jesus and his disciples into the land of Judaea; and there he tarried with them, and baptized. And John also was baptizing in Aenon near to Salim, because there was much water there: and they came, and were baptized. For John was not yet cast into prison. Then there arose a question between [some] of John's disciples and the Jews about purifying. And they came unto John, and said unto him, Rabbi, he that was with thee beyond Jordan, to whom thou barest witness, behold, the same baptizeth, and all [men] come to him. John answered and said, A man can receive nothing, except it be given him from heaven. Ye yourselves bear me witness, that I said, I am not the Christ, but that I am sent before him. He that hath the bride is the bridegroom: but the friend of the bridegroom, which standeth and heareth him, rejoiceth greatly because of the bridegroom's voice: this my joy therefore is fulfilled. He must increase, but I [must] decrease. He that cometh from above is above all: he that is of the earth is earthly, and speaketh of the earth: he that cometh from heaven is above all. And what he hath seen and heard, that he testifieth; and no man receiveth his testimony. He that hath received his testimony hath set to his seal that God is true. For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure [unto him]. The Father loveth the Son, and hath given all things into his hand. He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.
2 Corinthians 6:14 KJV Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
Romans 12:1 KJV I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
John 18:6 KJV As soon then as he had said unto them, I am he, they went backward, and fell to the ground.
John 10:30-33 KJV 30 I and [my] Father are one. Then the Jews took up stones again to stone him. Jesus answered them, Many good works have I shewed you from my Father; for which of those works do ye stone me? The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God.
John 10:28-30 KJV And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any [man] pluck them out of my hand. My Father, which gave [them] me, is greater than all; and no [man] is able to pluck [them] out of my Father's hand. I and [my] Father are one.
Romans 1:1-32 KJV Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called [to be] an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God, (Which he had promised afore by his prophets in the holy scriptures,) Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh; And declared [to be] the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead: By whom we have received grace and apostleship, for obedience to the faith among all nations, for his name: Among whom are ye also the called of Jesus Christ: To all that be in Rome, beloved of God, called [to be] saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ. First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you all, that your faith is spoken of throughout the whole world. For God is my witness, whom I serve with my spirit in the gospel of his Son, that without ceasing I make mention of you always in my prayers; Making request, if by any means now at length I might have a prosperous journey by the will of God to come unto you. For I long to see you, that I may impart unto you some spiritual gift, to the end ye may be established; That is, that I may be comforted together with you by the mutual faith both of you and me. Now I would not have you ignorant, brethren, that oftentimes I purposed to come unto you, (but was let hitherto,) that I might have some fruit among you also, even as among other Gentiles. I am debtor both to the Greeks, and to the Barbarians; both to the wise, and to the unwise. So, as much as in me is, I am ready to preach the gospel to you that are at Rome also. For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith. For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed [it] unto them. For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, [even] his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: Because that, when they knew God, they glorified [him] not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things. Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet. And even as they did not like to retain God in [their] knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.
Revelation 22:19 KJV And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.
Revelation 19:12-16 KJV His eyes [were] as a flame of fire, and on his head [were] many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself. And he [was] clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God. And the armies [which were] in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean. And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. And he hath on [his] vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.
Revelation 1:8 KJV I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.

Good morning everyone!
Debbie - Have you contacted a pastor that you like? He can give you good counsel on how to get back on track, both spiritually and in matters of trying to survive in this world. It costs nothing but your time and I think it would be helpful. Perhaps you can even join a church. I have not been a regular churchgoer, but plan to again soon. In the past, I have helped wrap Christmas gifts from the church to many families in the area that need help. There is a huge pile of gifts for girls, boys, babies and adults. We decide wht would be appropriate for the families we pack for. They get a lot.
Also, my children (all grown) only get gifts from us. Our grandchildren only get gifts from us and their mom and stepdad. We make up for it buy getting good sale items throughout the year. Alli happened to be with me when we found the 5 foot tall Barbie house with all the furnishings for $40 at a garage sale this year. She wanted it for Christmas ~ really bad, so it is in the garage, just waiting. I know how it is to see your child or grandchild treated unfairly. This just happened and made me want to spit nails, but I just have to realize that their father is just a real jerk. Since their divorce, he was remarried (and still not actually divorced), engaged to someone else who left quick when she realized what a jerk he was and he now has a girlfriend and her two daughters living with him. My granddaughter had her 10th birthday at his house so we celebrated it the day she came back. One of the girlfriend's daughters had a birthday (she turned 😎 a couple of days later (but it was actually Alli's birthday) and they had a cake for this other girl and Alli actually had to sing Happy Birthday to her and watch her open presents on HER birthday. Her father actually told her that he did not have enough money for anything for her and he would do it later. This was in August. He blew off my grandson's birthday, as well, in September. These things hurt but you have to just feel sorry for them and go on.
K-Mart is having their sales right now and I got Gabe some nice t-shirts for Christmas for $1.50 each. I put in a layaway (for which they give you $10) and found a really nice silverware set for my daughter for half-price and the griddle and Belgian walfle maker were both on sale, as well.
This is the first year that the grandchildren will not be here on Christmas. We always go downstate on the 26th and pick up my youngest daughter who is 29 and I give her a few wrapped gifts and then I give her money to shop all the 1/2 priced stuff. When we are done, we go out to a nice dinner. She loves this. As we will not get the grandkids back before then, we will be able to hit the clearance sales for them and then do some quick wrapping for a big Christmas at my daughter's house. With all the gifts combined, they get a lot and are always really happy with them. I will keep you in prayer to find peace in your life. Do not ever worry about what other people think. That is their problem, not yours.
I just realized that today is my anniversary. 32 years of officially being married, 35 years of being back together and 46 years since we first started dating. (We took a break and married other people for a bit in the middle!)
Ike & I spent the day in West Branch yesterday. I found that the prices have come way down on carpet cleaners and WM had a special, so I got the one I wanted brand new for $125! Ike put it together last night, so I will be carpet cleaning for the next few days.
It is supposed to be chilly and rainy here for the next several days. I will have to light the pelletr stove in the back so the carpet will dry nicely. If this machine sucks up the water as well as my last one, I will be happy.
Have a most beautiful day!

Hello Again Everyone,
Today they will lay my sister (Barbara) to rest. This is what I have posted for her. It is just what I added to the obituary.
Brother and sister we will always be, A couple of nuts off our family tree. Barbara you are a little bit of life that can never be lost. I do not know how to express the words that my heart feels now. My sister was her own rock, she was father and mother to her son Michael. Barbara as children we were practically joined at the hip, But we grew up and grew apart, as most siblings do. We had our own set of friends and our own set of goals for our lives, but that still didn't change the fact that we were family. I wish you were still here enjoying life, If tears could build a stairway and thoughts a memory lane I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.
No Farewell words were spoken no time to say good-bye you were gone before I knew it my heart's still in sadness and tears still flow what it meant to lose you no one else can ever know. But I know you want us to mourn for you no more to remember all the happy times
Since you'll never be forgotten I pledge to you today a hallowed place within my heart is where you'll always stay.
I Knew you for a Moment in time but it was my lifes moment in time. Barbara I know you was in pain a large part of your life because of debilitating arthritis having several surgeries to replace joints yet you always had a smile and just enjoyed your life the best you could. Just know that I love and miss you, And this is my tribute for you. My little sister, Roy
I feel bad because she is in Massachusetts. I can not go and be there. Michael is going to video tape all and send.
