Sometimes, we experience or struggle with pain, hurt and rejection that is so deep, we wonder if we can or will ever be the same or even recover.
The Scriptures have taught me that casting all our cares on Him will produce a deeper understanding of Him and of the burdens we carry, or we can choose to lay them at the feet of Jesus and allow Him to carry us and make us free.
It wasn't God's design for us to be in bondage to unforgiveness, bitterness and envy.
He loves us all so much He sent Jesus, who took the sin of the world, to the cross where He died for us.
Personally, to confess that I don't hurt or feel anger would be a lie. I have been hurt and that hurt is so painful I sometimes find it hard to move on. Then anger sets in.
If we didn't love as much as do or we are able, the hurt and pain wouldn't exhist.
I guess it could be said that love does hurt or it hurts to love.
But we can't live like that because that's not God's will for our lives.
Walking with God is alot like school, only reversed. In school we are given the the lesson and then tested.
With the Lord, we are given the test and then we see the lesson.
That's what strengthens our faith and draws us closer to Jesus.
May the cares of the world cause us to get our eyes off of our situation, and focus on Him..who will never leave us or forsake us.
Jehovah Jira..God our provider.
As Jehovah Jireh God can and will provide exactly what we need when we need it, for His timing is perfect.

Lynn,
It seems as you are taking my posts personally? They are just my occasional rambling. Not aimed at anyone just for everyone.
Sorry you feel you have to forgive yourself!
I feel love for you as I do for all posters, lurkers past and present.
I believe the PRT has helped my life by the prayers I have received and also given for others.
Love to All
Roy - No, not personally. I have not had a lot of forgiving either way lately, just a case of how I can get through it and past it. Actually, it was more directed at reaganshoes Deb, to let her know that you can get through anything, which is why I brought up the experience with my daughter. Having a child molested was a difficult experience to deal with you can forgive the act. Twenty-three years later, but one still does not forget.
I was merely wondering why you were quoting the Qu'ran.
I missed the one about the "me" post as I was typing th other one. Envy, of anything is sad. If one if envious, there is never happiness or, even more important, contentment. Like I have said, I do not drive a Porsche, but am very happy that I have a decent car to drive. I can be just as happy with an item that I picked up for a quarter at a garage sale than many items that I could never afford.
I know people who are always waiting for something (I know I have been in that position a couple of times, but I am speaking about those who always wait and are never enjoying the moment). An example would be waiting for the money to go on a European tour and bemoaning the fact that they were somehow missing out on something. We knew when the kids were younger that this was not going to happen, so we got VHS tapes about different places and would watch them and also make dinners from those countries so even if we could not go ourself, we could do the next best thing. And we had fun doing this, for free!
I can not walk long distances nor can I be in the sun for very long so even with money not being a factor, I always wanted to go to Israel, but not with the war and I knew I could never conquer the weather or the terrain. Roxie can tell you that a few years back, we took the Ray VanderLaan virtual tour of Israel that went into depth of the reason various things were the way they were during Biblical times to the way it is now. It was so realistic that one could actually feel the water and it seemed that we had sand in our shoes. I have seen many documentaries about Israel but nothing compares to this. There is no way I could have ever done an Israel trip but I suspect that we could possibly pass a polygraph if they ever asked us if we had been to Irael and said yes.
I just discussed this with a Jewish friend on FB yesterday as Israel is being targeted daily and just yesterday defended itself when a rocket was launched into a highly populated area. We know that the battle for Israel has already been fought and we win, but there are those that are living there in the meantime and it is awful.
There are things I used to do but can no longer do because of health reasons but there is always an opportunity to do something else. Rather be sad or bitter about something lost, you can find something new. This is how I discovered my whole music community of friends which has been amazing.
We are getting together for a big party of the first and we had been speaking about various dancing that some of them do, one type that would have me flat on the floor as I never was coordinated enough for contra dancing. However, I was able to do some Celtic dance and clogging in days long gone by. This is impossible for me now with a loose rod in my leg and probably forever and is not a big deal. I noticed that many of the Celtic groups have one in their group that has taps on his shoes and a board under his feet where he is sitting and while he is singing/playing can basically be the drum section, aside from the bodhran. I dusted off my tap shoes yesterday and put on a fast piece and discovered that I can do it while sitting down, so I am bringing my shoes with me.
There is always a way to look on the bright side of things and sometimes you have to do a lot of searching in order to find it but it is always there. The Bible tells us that with God, all things are possible, and indeed, they are. 🙂
Deb - Excellent site, I bookmarked it.

Roy, I see no benefit in repeating any religious beliefs of some whose sole purpose is to destroy and kill those who call themselves Americans. In the future, I will just skip that.
I sure wish we coild see consistency in the timimg of your posts. We don't hear from you in weeks and then you post many, many posts. I could learn and absorb more if you did them daily .
Lynn, that was a heartwarming, honest post. Thank you for coming home.

Jan. and Everybody,
For almost a year now I am doing better than I have in several years. Because I have been so close so many times now that I feel better I go fishing, visit my children and Grandchildren as much as I can. I can go and it only takes a day or so to recover so I am living my life as enjoyably as I can.
Sorry that when I am home sometimes I post and get carried away with it. It is usually several things I have thought of or read about and wanted to share/relay to everyone.
Lynn,
I am very glad you have your music and I hope the taps will be able to keep you dancing.
I still have the tape you did for my mother-in-law for her passing. I do very much appreciate/cherish it.
Your organ playing is superb.
My post on the Koran was just a reminder what our world has to face sooner than later I hope!

Glad to hear you are doing much better, especially so you can, once again, do the things you enjoyed all of your life. I am glad to hear that you are visiting with your children and grandchildren and I know they appreciate it. My grandchildren only know anyone from Ike's side, as my family was gone by the time they were just little. For all practical purposes, I never really had any personal relationship with my grandparents and my dad died when I was 12. So having family that is able to actually be involved in your life is something I missed, whereas my children and grandchildren have lots of family they see on a regular basis.
I remember you handing the phone to Kathleen and leaving. It was.....interesting.
The Koran has no place in my life. I rely only on the Bible for all the guidance I need. It is all in there. It is interesting to also have at least one guidebook that shows timelines and what was going on elsewhere while Biblical happenings were taking place.
Yep, Roxie, her cute little mom and I all got to go to Israel with Ray, we never had to leave our comfortable chairs and there was always a kitchen and a bathroom a few steps away. Ray was a special tour guide. You began to feel so close to him, that when the trip was close to being over, you knew you were going to miss him. He pastors a Christian Reformed church in the SE portion of my state.

Good mjorning, Everyone. I am having really bad pain down my left leg. I have been taking acteminophen but it doesn't seem to be working very well now. Woke up Sunday morning with pain so bad I was crying. It's very bad again this morning. Hubby is talking about taking me to the ER after he gets back from his Ortho appointment. Only thing is, I no longer have medical insurance so I guess I'd have to apply for Charity Care. I need to find out if the pain is due to my herniated discs or if I pulled something in my leg.

Diane - Is it sciatica? If it is, hanging upside down will fix it. Find a store in your area where they sell inversion tables and go try one out. If it is sciatica, it will go away for quite some time. If it is sciatica and you go to the ER, they can only give you pain meds and they will really not do very much. It will not cost you as dime to try one and may help with all your problems. I have many blown discs and would not be without one.

Diane -- Prayers for the pain in your leg.
Roy -- I agree with others that I have no need to read the Koran. The Bible is what I use.

More prayers ya'll. I got robbed Saturday night. I was only gone 40or 50 minutes. I came home and they were still in the house. They got my laptop( only a few months old). I'm so upset. At least I wasnt hurt. Don't know what to do. I'm out about $400 or more and thats about all I have in bank right now. Christmas is close. I need the laptop for ebay but maybe this is a sign I should quit. Ugh. I've got 3 teenagers to buy for too. Second time I've been robbed the week of Thanksgivin. Last time it was after black friday. This time it looks like laptop & no Christmas or Christimas and no laptop. And I went to er and have a uri and need medicine & my insurance wont pay it. I'm praying for a job. And scatter brain & uptight cause of the robbery. Hope ya'll week going better than mine.

Deb, so sorry about your bad situation. Most All on here have had unbelievable trials and tribulations. All have prayed without ceasing and have asked all our friends on here to pray for us. God's time isn't our time but He is always faithful and just. God has been praised and all praise has been given to Him alone. As Lynn said (or someone) find ways to begin to thank God for His Everlasting love for you. He knows your every fear, worry, trial, joy, praise and fulfillment. Talk to Him-- HE IS EVER NEAR. Love and prayers to you. Jan
This, too, shall pass.:-x
