paper model sheets

gertjanslotboom hi gert i was looking at your paper model sheet designs from the two photos in the group albums. its interesting to see these items, in the flesh ,as i think the distant photos dont do your paper designs justice. it would be great if you could offer an opinion on what they were made for. a prototype of a chess set to be made , or something that was produced? i do have in my humble collection a curious gift ,its a cardboard cut out set, to be constructed of paris buildings , which i have chosen not to do. its a recent set too , possibly some sort of anniversary celebrating the history of paris.

paper model sheets

Hi Guy, These model sheets were produced in 1890 -1895 by a German Firm “Schreiber”. These sheets are lithographs and meant to be cut out and glued so one could use them as a 3d chess set. I have them framed and they look wonderful on the wall. GJ
