Hi, tasbota, thanks for explaining how you came to spell the name of you gamer personality wrongly. I suppose if someone else had spotted it first they might have thought it a little strange. I see from another thread that you say you can identify the difference between ivory and bone with ease. That a real ace skill, I work with both materials every day (over 20 years) and I sometimes have difficulty. The game play thing where you can adopt another personality sounds like fun. How do you keep from getting mixed up about which one you are? I ask because we once had a member of this group who used to pretend to be three different people at once, but sometimes he got mixed up between who he was pretending to be, and logged on as the wrong one. Oh how we all laughed, ((at him) before we threw him out for being a nutter)

The thing is I may have a "game name" but I dont act like im that character. I have no weird different personality just because im TasboTavoc, so really there is no confusion. I was going to have my name be JacobWSC which is my name and then West Suburban Confrence, the confrence for my school, but that was taken. Chessspy is your legal name too? I came to this group to talk about chess sets not be insulted by somebody. I only stay now because you are the only one who has been extremely rude to me. I have nothing against you chessspy but apparently you have something against me. If you have any claims of my suspiscousness please bring them to light, but you have no real reason to accuse me of something besides my name being that of a character on a kids game card. Hi Jacob, Is that a picture of your school team on your photo bucket site? I bet you have a team nickname,like the"Hurricanes" or something.We don't bother much with that kind of thing in the UK.I see your playing strength is a bit variable! Do you have a published grade? I think I'm about 1700 on the US scale so maybe we could have a correspondence game sometime. I don't know much about US chess,over here we have County junior championships,do you have similar State ones? Mick

My published rating is low, 1326, i havent done many tournaments is the main reason. I have the knowledge to play higher and occasionally do so. Yes that is my team we are the eagles its our school mascot. We have a bunch of championships in the US recently was the national open and before that the chicago open. The best i have done was 2nd in the midamerican open. Earned me 240 dollars. In highschool though i have won almost 20 chess medals 3 of which are state medals

Jacob, I'm becoming a little concerned by some of the information you are giving me.I don't know whether it is exam time over there or you are maybe spending too much time thinking about chess or chess sets but I think you may be getting confused.The team photo you have put up is clearly the Lincoln-Way Central team who are rivals to you in your league and your last published grading at 3/1 was 1229.I don't know how gradings work over there but it would be a stellar achievement to improve 100 points over 2 months so well done if that is the case.I've also seen your photo after winning a 2nd board prize at this year's State Championship.It doesn't look much like your photo bucket site image and I am wondering if when you were downloading a number of the other images from other sites you got the wrong one. Most importantly you are only a year 11 student,A Junior,and really you shouldn't have registered on ebay as you are under 18.I think there is a duty of care issue here and with your welfare in mind I think it best if I contact Nestor Martinez,your school chess coach to ensure that your best interests are being served by being a member of this community.I note that many of your posts are made during normal lesson times and again this is not advisable. Mick I think you be a little confused. 1229 is my highschool rating. The rating i was referring to is my uscf rating which is 1326, if you would like I can give you the link to that too. If so the person with a lincoln-way central sweater on is another board 6 that won a state medal. That was 2 years ago my sophmore year. As for this years photos i have not uploaded them yet they are only on my facebook account. As for my age I used my moms permisson and information for the account. It is summer there are no exams or anything else i need to be doing. I have no clue how you know my coach's name. I dont think you need to worry about my welfare it being summer and all. You would not be the highest person I have played but it is your choice who you play.

Hello Jacob, Thanks for the new photos.You've certainly cleared up a number of my queries.I also didn't realise you finished for summer so early,it doesn't happen for another month here.Since you have time on your hands you might want to set up a chess only album.Most collectors seem to favour picasa for this.It's free and easy to use and navigate.As for your age since your mum gave permission it's certainly no concern of mine.Good luck with the playing and collecting. For the record The "true crap" that was removed by the moderator consisted of a series of exceptionally disgusting fictional postings by the resident hoaxer using the names cpe1991-2008 and chessspy-2008, such that only the cpe1991 and chessspy were visible. Using aliases that appeared to be from us, the hoaxer made a series of unbelievably nasty and unwarranted comments about people in the group. I had downloaded those comments to have a permanent record of the hoaxer's activities. Alan
