Anyone experiencing difficulty with the manufacture's Redemption Program. I have a buyer that has been experiencing the following; (1) manufacture states card has already been redeemed, (2) manufacture is not answering or returning phone call.
I recommended he send the card into the manufactures, since it is their last resort for processing a redemption card. (of course, register it with post office or require signature).
Any help is greatly appreciated!!!!
Sincerely 🙂

What is a manufacturer’s redemption card?
Are you talking about a gift card?
Did you sell this redemption card? Did you mail a physical card or send the code through email?
Has an eBay case for refund been opened?

Sports trading cards. Manufacturers put redemption cards in a pack when an autographed card isn't ready. Basically, the cards weren't autographed and sent back to the manufacturer by the deadline, so the manufacturer releases the pack with a redemption card instead of the autographed card.
The recipient then goes to the website printed on the card, puts in the code from their redemption card (scratch off to reveal) and manufacturer mails them the autographed card.
Looks like OP sold a few redemption cards.

It is a sports trading card that requires the recipient to scratch off a concealed code, and then the recipient enters the code on the manufacturer's web page. I purchased the brand new product from the manufacturer, posted the card to our page, and then we made the sell.

If no claim or return request has been filed, I'd keep trying to work with the buyer and/or the manufacturer @getit3693. Follow whatever troubleshooting steps the manufacturer advises.
Tough situation when you don't know whether the buyer is being truthful or if they redeemed the code already and are making false claims to try and get a refund.
If it comes down to the buyer filing a "not as described" claim, eBay will hold you responsible for refunding. Whether or not you have the buyer return is up to you, but eBay will force the refund if you don't work it out.
Good luck.

So I purchased a what I thought was a redemption certificate issued by Topps for rookie autograph Jung-Hoo Lee. Paid $101. Me I done is described using the AI and the item details Clearly say it's a sports trading card. What I got was an already redeemed certificate and I thought the seller had inadvertently mailed me the wrong thing but he insists that he put the word redeemed in the title which he did. I am aware that the language in a description and the item details override anything in a title. This is eBay policy and basic contract law. The issue I am having is I cannot find anything that prohibits selling already redeemed cards and the seller insists that these have value. He takes returns ( which I don't think he realizes that nor do I think he realizes the lengthy description of the card and the selections he made under item details. My dilemma is whether I return it as a buyer's remorse or item not as described. I feel violated and ripped off. I did not notice the "E" and "D" at the end of the word "redeem" and he's saying I should have paid closer attention. Interestingly enough and artificial intelligence search says that eBay does not explicitly prohibit selling redeemed Redemption certificates and I find it astonishing that anyone would pay more than perhaps a buck or two to match it up to the card that they had redeemed as some odd form of collecting Behavior though I did see also a Reddit post addressing this. I just appreciate anyone's input on whether I should call eBay and speak to them about this or open a return through the portal that no human eyes will ever see unless he fights it and assuming I go that route I feel comfortable using an item significantly not as described so that I don't pay shipping either way
So what do you wonderful folks think? I don't know that I'm allowed to share the item number or the seller ID so I am not. He has a few negatives and neutrals, but over 360 positive sales feedback

I should add that because I'm not sure about the privacy concerns here that I'm posting under my mother's account. So you wouldn't be able to find the listing I'm referring to I just don't want to run a foul of any eBay policies. There is a picture of the front of the Redemption certificate and nothing for the back which would have showed the code. It seems to me if it's all on the up and up as he claims that he would have added a picture of the back of the card. Since the redemption code has already been redeemed it's not like he would have been giving anything away. Actually, if he had included a picture of the reverse with the scratched off code, he MIGHT have a flimsy leg to stand on in an "SNAD" return. I just wanted to clarify the user ID will not show anything purchased and say that only a picture of the front was in the listing
