where did the "view paypal transaction" option go?

I'm not on managed payments yet - I sell too many items from categories that won't be included.  I prefer to click the "view PayPal transaction" link so I can verify the money is there, then print a packing slip because eBay's packing slips are terrible.  Then, I ship through eBay because it keeps track of my shipping costs.  But when I went to ship today, that link is gone and has been all day.  What gives?

While I can't help on where it went, I would guess you can log into Paypal on your own in another window to check the transaction and print your packing slip.   No big deal on PC, maybe a pain if you work from a phone or tablet.

I would guess they're doing away with it because they eventually want everyone on MP like it or not.

Which, so far it's been okay but I still don't like shipping things before I have the money on hand.

You may want to copy and bookmark this link to the old Selling History pages. It still shows up there. In their infinite wisdom it appears that eBay has removed those links from the new Selling pages and the Order Details.

What s/he said.

The view PayPal transaction link never worked for me - I'm surprised it worked for others.

I went researching this issue and found this thread.  Same thing has happened to me.  Your best bet is to bookmark the activities section in paypal and search for "eBay" to filter your transactions for eBay orders.  Paypal will show whether they need to print a shipping label or you can track it.

It's kind of a pain even on PC.  Having to search for each transaction takes way more time.  Sometimes eBay and PayPal names aren't the exact same, and I often sell many items for the exact same totals.

That link just redirects me to the eBay selling hub, unfortunately.

Should be able to "switch to the classic view" at the top right.

Re: where did the "view paypal transaction" option go?

I am having the same problem and am in the same situation.  Not having that link will cost me several hours every day at this point.  The customer service representatives do not have any idea what is going on.  At first one said that it was because of MP but after a little discussion it was determined that, that was just her assumption and it appears to be a site issue.  If you have an item with a quantity of more than one and go to the purchase history, the More Actions drop down still has the View PayPal transaction option, and it still works.

Another thread on the same subject can be found at  https://community.ebay.com/t5/Selling-Q-A/Can-t-connect-to-View-PayPal-Transaction-from-Manage-order...
