I've read some posts on this topic already and from what I udnerstand, there's only the 30 day (or specifiec by the seller) perdiod where I can return the item, but no actual warranty ?
Usually this is 12 or 24 months.
I contacted the seller about an item (ND filter for camera) that broke and stopped working 3-4 months after purchase and they told me:
"Sorry that we do not handle the product problem which expired three mothes."
I assume I'd need to discuss this with the manufacturer directly ?
What if the item does not have any brand ?

Warranties are handled by manufacturers (If you can figure out who it is), but many manufacturers exclude sales on sites like this since very few sellers here are 'authorized dealers'.

Warranties are from manufacturers or you can purchase warranties through third party insurance sites (such as squaretrade.com)
If you do not see a brand identified on the product, then the company that manufactured the product would more than likely have a hard-to-access warranty. Even if it were a branded item, warranties are typically only for the original purchaser and do not transfer to a second owner.
The bottom line is that I would assume a warranty claim would be unlikely. Sorry.

Most items sold on eBay do not have a warranty. Warranties are handled by the manufacturer and most will not honor the warranty unless you bought the item from an authorized distributor. eBay is a marketplace so they don’t qualify as a distributor/retailer. If the eBay seller is not an authorized distributor (and most here are NOT) then the warranty is null and void. If you want a warranty on an eBay purchase, then you should look to see if the item is eligible for an assurant or squaretrade warranty both of which can be bought on eBay at the time of purchase or after. Otherwise most items here do not have a warranty.

Ebay's MBG ; Money Back guarantee program does give the number of buyers the wrong idea that the items are under a long term warranty by the sellers which isn't . It is just a fancy name for buyer protection on INR and Snads .
