trying to ship a book media ebay does not let me pick media

trying to ship a book media ,  ebay does not let me pick media only first class or priority. says item does not qualify for media in this catagory. I listed in collectible section because it is a collectible book. this is the first time this has happened. Is this a "new" thing or just a one time "glitch" ?

Not a new thing it is because you listed it in the collectible category. Either use one of the other online shipping programs/sites to generate your shipping label under Media Mail or take it to the post office and ship it media mail. You can then put the shipping information and tracking number into the eBay order and mark it as shipped.

Been like that for a while with books. You can use Pirateship  https://www.pirateship.com/  or you can buy a label through Paypal. https://www.paypal.com/us/webapps/mpp/shipping-center

Upload the tracking to Ebay.

You can only print MM postage if you're listed in a media category. Kind of a pain, but it is what it is. I suppose all those sellers that ship non-qualifying items had a hand in bringing this on.

If the buyer paid with Paypal, you can ship from there easily.  If you're in Mis-managed payments, it may be easier just to sneakernet it to the USPS office and upload tracking.
