I found out today at the Post Office that DeJoy is trying to end First Class Parcel. He wants it gone by May.
Personally, I want DeJoy gone by May if not sooner.

NO. They are not “trying to end” it. They are merging it into a new service called “USPS ground advantage” due to start 7/9.
https://bestlifeonline.com/usps-replacing-first-class-package-service-news/
A couple of take aways from the article:
“But the introduction of USPS Ground Advantage is not likely to involve a price hike,
(Where first class was limited to 15.999 ounces GA (ground advantage) will take packages to 70 pounds.)
"It is also intended for users of the Postal Service's Priority Mail service, who need two- to three-day transit times but don't want to pay Priority Mail's pound-based prices,
That would seem to help where a buyer asks “Can’t you ship it for less?”
In Jan. 2022, the Postal Service lowered the average shipping rates for USPS Retail Ground products by 7 percent, and rates for Parcel Select Ground by 12 percent.
I offer no opinion on whether or not this is a good thing. Only that it is happening and you should be aware of what is coming.

couldn't agree more. That guy has been a disgrace from day one.

Let's see. First class packages, media mail, and parcel select ground being delivered to zone 8 in 2 to 4 days many times(means they are moving by air, not ground), as stated above, lower prices for ground delivery, way fewer delivery issues this year then last, ground advantage will include $100.00 insurance. Wow, those are all really terrible things.

agreed...I have never seen media mail this fast from east to west as it has been since october or so.....
priority within 4 zones is virtually overnight if you ship Friday ---> Monday delivery in the pasy couple months
also, these improvements look promising
or, maybe I am just lucky

I am not looking forward to a 70 pound package landing on my 4 ounce one….

Factor in the price increase….

You are not lucky. We can thank DeJoy that the US postal service is doing a fantastic job.

Why do you use USPS when things are so terrible? Use UPS, Fedex, I am sure you will save a lot of money. I am absolutely satisfied with USPS service, delivering all my packages, no damages, no lost packages and very fast, basically for free (weight below 4 lbs) compared to UPS and Fedex.
You want him gone by May? Send e message to the White House, this is a wrong place to request personal changes in the current administration.

FYI @martin2001 - the OP you're telling to use UPS/FedEx is a mail carrier for USPS. 😂

This can already happen.

If only he would do away with junk mail.

Which raises a perplexing question:

Why didn't he already know what you and I both posted making his post somewhat irrelevant.
