the dreaded Mid-May USPS mail

Anyone still getting reports of non-delivery of boxes mailed in mid-May? I got another today. I am also waiting on a box for myself. There are no scans. I tried - twice  - to file a missing package report on mine but was told to wait longer due to covid.  These are media mail. The package reported today is going from Virginia to Hawaii which I guess does not help.

Still issues here. Mostly stuck at "In transit" phase of delivery.

It amuses me USPS is using covid as an excuse for not scanning. They have always been really bad about scanning labels. If a package is stuck in limbo try calling your local post office and see what their more advanced tracking abilities show them. They can look deeper into the tracking information than the public can. The one instance I dealt with was resolved fairly quick after they escalated things for me.

I actually did try that on my box and they had no scans either. May try it again. I am also going to file an insurance claim but am unsure how it will go because the seller lost their postal receipt. 😓

Why would you file an insurance claim for the seller? That's their problem, not yours. If your purchase is past the latest estimated date of delivery, you can file an Item Not Received with eBay and collect your refund that way. 

To be clear, if you're willing to be patient, then give it a little while longer and see if the Media Mail shows up in tracking anywhere along the way. It's the single worst, slowest way to ship an item, so patience is required, especially these days.

If this is coming parcel it takes about 35/40 days from the East Coast to Hawaii as parcel and media mail come via first truck to LA and then boat to Hawaii. Ebay is well aware of the shipping time but continues to put down a shipping time for the 48 contiguous States.
