sold item and send via UPS pickup

ive sold and item at auction with Free Economy Delivery item was sold very low at the starting price but because i put free delivery i sent item to be collected by customer form a UPS pickup point nearby from his home (this was the cheapest way for me to send the parcel 10 kg) if i would send the item with royal mail will be same thing as is a heavy parcel he will be called at the office to pick it up

Parcel is in the shop since last week( 5 days now)  and customer is in other country wants parcel deliver to his UK address that he use just for eshopping (he doesen't live there) i don`t need the parcel back and i don't want to spend more money to redeliver to his address the pick up point is 6 minutes away form his address !

any help ?i don`t want to refund as i did my part to deliver as fast as i can for free and is his job to pick it up !

Im not sure about UK rules, but if you didn't ship to the address you were given, you're probably going to get a item not received case filed against you

Re: sold item and send via UPS pickup

You have to ship to the address given in the ships to area of the payment.

Free Shipping means that you have included the S/H within the price of the item. You should NEVER start an auction or place a BIN for less than what it takes to cover ALL your expenses and have your minimum profit.

What you have in the item + All your listing and projected FVF fees + a minimum profit = starting price

Starting price + S/H to your furthest domestic shipping area = Starting price when listing with Free Shipping

No. You. Did. Not. Do. Your. Job!

Your job was to send it to the buyers address, not the UPS office near his address. If they are using an address to have it reshipped to them out of country, they probably CANNOT go retrieve it.

You have 3 choices, refund and try to get the package back, refund and hope the package eventually comes back, or find a way to get the package to the buyers address.

Personally since you're in Romania and the buyers address is UK, I'd refund and use this as a learning experience.

ALWAYS SHIP TO THE BUYERS ADDRESS.

Re: sold item and send via UPS pickup

You are missing the point, and the point is a fairly simple one. You had the buyers address. You decided to send the item cheaper to a pick up point instead of the buyers address. This was a huge mistake. The item has been delivered to an address other than the one provided by the buyer. And the buyer is not in a position to chase this package down and retrieve it.

That's basically where all of this ends. The rest is irrelevant. It doesn't matter whether the buyer is in Romania or anywhere else. You can not provide proof of delivery to the buyers address that was provided and will lose in an item not received claim.

Your profile says you're in Romania.

But, you've got no choice but to refund. You didn't send it to their address, you sent it to a UPS location
