I have been writing out addresses and mailing packages at post office paying postage with my bank card. When I listed the item originally, I put a flat rate shipping cost of 4.65, which buyers pay. I assumed that shipping money is forwarded to me. if not, where is it? ( I don't have a printer)

Your assumption is correct. If you're charging your buyers shipping costs, they're being paid out to your bank account.

The money the buyer pays for shipping is sent to your checking account along with the funds for the item.

Have a great day.

When you purchase postage online through eBay, you pay a discounted online rate.  For First Class packages, the difference between the retail and online rates is over $1 per package.  For instance, the postage cost for a package up to 4 ounces, going to Zone 8, costs $5.00 at the PO but only $3.86 online. So a printer might be a very good investment.   Also, if you purchase labels online, in most locations you can request "carrier pickup" and never have to go to the PO again.

For trading cards, eBay has a special "standard" service, which is even more economical.
