shipping time evaluation on feedback

I sell from the East coast. I ship the day after an item sells. My lowest feedback rating of 4.8 is for shipping time because the postal service takes a long time to get the package where it needs to go. I feel the Feedback rating for shipping time is not fair as it does not represent the speed with which the item is mailed but  how long it takes to get to the buyer.  Additionally Ebay continues to charge a fee for shipping costs. Again, mailing from either coast is more expensive than mailing to either coast from the middle of the country, so the higher charge for East or West coast sellers seems unfair. I charge exact shipping for all items I sell, so I am only losing more of my top line with the additional charge by Ebay for shipping costs.

shipping time evaluation on feedback

I agree that the difference between the "shipping time" and the delivery date could be made MUCH clearer to buyers leaving feedback. There are two questions; a yes-or-no question about whether the item arrived on time and one asking for a star rating on shipping time. I don't think buyers perceive the difference in what the two questions are asking . . .
