shipping label

I don't know if this is the right location for this, but it's the closest I could find.

I have a couple of free items that I want to ship to a previous buyer.

Is there a way to create a shipping label without a sold item?

Thanks,

Gerry

Re: shipping label

Thanks for the link.

I found it interesting that PayPal came up with a cost of $48.38 for shipping the same item that I have sold on Ebay and shipped for $16.48.

This time I'm giving it to a customer for free and the postage is 3 times as much.

Weird!

Anyway, thanks again.

I will take it to the Post Office tomorrow and see what they come up with.

Re: shipping label

The post office will quote you the RETAIL rate, paypal charges you the discounted commercial rate. Perhaps you chose the wrong service when you calculated the cost? express when you meant priority? or made a mistake on the weight?

Re: shipping label

You can look up any USPS rate, retail or commercial, here:

Keep in mind that both Priority Mail and Parcel Select are zoned -- they depend on weight, dimensions and distance. I do not see either of the rates you mention for any class of mail. When you use Paypal online shipping, you get the commercial rate; at the PO you will pay full retail.

Re: shipping label

Doulbe-check the dimensions, too.  You might have run into the "dimensional weight" for Priority Mail.
