. Got approval to return a defective diamond ring, from an experienced international seller. eBay notified that seller could not create return ship label.
. seller said Pitney Bowes will REFUND shipping cost BEFORE return.
. told seller that to claim for return cost is to RETURN first then upload receipt for refund (see PayPal coverage)
. Seller drag on off for 3 days asking to wait before return.
. informed seller will ship back next day, if not hear back. My priorities is ring $1500 vs shipping $25 (cap)
. Ring returned but fail to upload tracking because seller ask eBay STEP IN resulting case CLOSED.
. no response yet from eBay as to their review for over 3 days. Contact eBay to retrieve case is shutdown.
. eBay buyer protection to monitor arrival & refund injured?

Not sure from your post, did you open an appeal? Did you return the item with Signature Required, since it was over $750? Does tracking show it being delivered to the seller? Was eBay's GSP involved? How did you pay?

Unfortunately, this is on you: You saw that the seller is responsible for return shipping. When you didn't get a signature confirmation for $750+ return label nor the cash for that return label, you must find a way to let eBay know, no excuses.

So you did find a way to contact eBay after all. Unfortunately, in an appeal, EBAY MUST PAY THE APPEAL AMOUNT THEMSELVES, and the seller gets away with the buyer's payment. No, you won't be seeing eBay pay you $1500 out of pocket.
However, there is a way to get your entire payment back FROM THE SELLER: Provide your tracking number and file a "Goods returned Credit not received" chargeback with your card issuer to get a provisional credit the same or the next day.
