what to do if buyer returns the item not in the same condition as sent, I don't want to get a negative feedback and be in trouble as seller...

You would have to try to prove to a CS rep that the buyer did not return the item in its original condition, which can be next to impossible. It's usually your word against the buyer's, which is why the buyer typically wins.

The buyer wins that one. The buyer can return a different item, a box of trash, dog doo, an empty box. You still have to refund.

A few sellers on YouTube said if you record your self opening the package from the usps and showing how the item came back to you and then you have photos of the item you were selling you could use both sets and usually be ok . Is that not true? It wouldn't be wise to video your return package ? Thanks !!

No it's not true. I see this in the Facebook buy sell trade groups frequently. Many people think you can just record yourself and ebay will take it as evidence.ebay has never accepted video proof and You can't even upload a video to eBay lol so I don't know how that rumor ever started. Anyway they also think sellers can file claims with eBay and that sellers can win any case just by calling customer service! Very naive people in those groups! The bottom line is, recording yourself opening the package isn't going to help you with an eBay case.
